ECHO: Chase Your Own Ghost · package

Effective date: 30 August 2026 ·
Last updated: 30 August 2026
The current release of ECHO collects no data at all.
The version on Google Play today contains no advertising, no in-app purchases and no leaderboard. It makes no network connections of any kind — there is no server for it to talk to. Nothing is collected, nothing is transmitted, and nothing is shared with anyone. This matches our Google Play Data safety declaration exactly: no data collected, no data shared.
Sections 2, 3 and 4 below describe features intended for a future version. They are set out here in advance so the terms are visible before anything changes. None of them are active in the app you can install today. If those features ship, this policy and the Play Data safety declaration will be updated together, in the same release.
The short version. ECHO has no accounts, no sign-up, and no servers belonging to us. Your progress is saved only on your own device, where we cannot read it. We do not collect, sell or share personal information, and the current release never sends anything anywhere.
Who we are
ECHO: Chase Your Own Ghost is developed and published by Fluff Forge, an independent developer based in Italy. For anything in this policy you can reach us at fluffforge@gmail.com.
1. What is stored on your device
The game keeps a single save record in your device's local app storage. It contains:
- your best round, total runs and total orbs collected;
- which ships you have unlocked and which one is selected;
- your in-game diamond balance and any cosmetic items unlocked;
- daily mission progress and streak;
- your sound, music and screen-shake settings.
This record never leaves your device and we cannot read it. It is removed when you uninstall the app, and you can clear it at any time from the in-game settings or by clearing the app's storage in Android settings.
This is local storage, not data collection. Nothing in that record is transmitted anywhere, which is why our Data safety declaration reports no data collected. A few fields exist in the save format to support the features described in sections 2 to 4; they are unused in the current release.
2. Advertising — planned for a future version, not in the current release
Not active today. The current release contains no advertising SDK and requests no adverts. This section describes what would apply if rewarded adverts are added in a later version.
ECHO would show rewarded adverts only — short videos you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward. There would be no forced interstitials and no banners. Rewarded adverts would be delivered by Google AdMob.
When an advert is requested, Google may process device and usage information including your advertising ID, IP address, device model and operating system version, and approximate location derived from that IP address, in order to select, deliver and measure the advert. We never receive this information. Google's handling of it is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android under Settings › Privacy › Ads. An ad-removal product would stop the app requesting adverts at all. Until adverts ship, no advertising ID is read and no advert is ever requested.
3. In-app purchases — planned for a future version, not in the current release
Not active today. The current release contains no billing library and sells nothing. There is no way to spend money in the app as it stands.
If in-app purchases are added, they would be processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We would never see or store your card, bank or address details. Google would tell us only that a purchase completed, together with a purchase token used to grant the item and to restore it if you reinstall.
Where the law requires it, an age signal supplied by Google Play would be checked before a paid purchase completes, and Google's parental-approval flow would apply to accounts identified as belonging to minors. We would not receive your date of birth. Free paths in the game — missions and spending earned diamonds — would not be gated by this check.
4. Play Games Services — planned for a future version, not in the current release
Not active today. The current release has no leaderboard and does not connect to Play Games. Your best round is kept on your device only.
If a leaderboard is added, then where your device is signed in to Google Play Games your best round could be submitted to a public board under your Play Games profile name. It would be optional, controlled by your Google account settings, and the game would remain fully playable without it.
5. What we never collect
No name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone or camera access. The game asks for no runtime permissions.
The current release makes no network requests whatsoever. It does not phone home, contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and has no server component. It is fully playable offline, permanently and by design. Should the features in sections 2 to 4 ever ship, network access would be used only for those purposes, and this policy would say so in the present tense rather than the conditional.
6. Children
ECHO is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us and we will act on it.
7. Your rights
Fluff Forge is the data controller for this app under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve, correct or erase. You retain the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability.
For data processed by Google in connection with adverts, purchases or Play Games, Google is the controller and requests should be directed to Google. If you are in the EU or EEA you may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
8. Changes to this policy
The advertising, purchase and leaderboard sections above take effect only in the release that actually introduces those features. In that same release we will update this policy to describe them in the present tense and update the Google Play Data safety declaration to match, so the two documents never disagree.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at https://fluffforge.online/privacy.html and the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's store listing.
